Wendy Continues...STEP 4: Transferring Flite-Metal to Styrene Panels:

Flite-Metal comes on a roll. To avoid scratching I laid a manila folder on my table, and worked on top of that. I unrolled the with the metal side down and I laid styrene template on top of it with the marked side down against the paper backing.

On the paper backing of Flite-Metal, I trace an outline 1/8 to ¼ inch larger then Styrene panel on all sides. This will allow a 1/8 to1/4 inch wrap around to backside of styrene panel. Cut the Flite-Metal along panel outline.

Take the piece you just cut to size and lay it face down on a flat work surface (paper side up).  Peel paper from side nearest you enough to get one edge of your styrene template affixed to the leaving a 1/8 to 1/4 inch overhang.  Press your started edge down.
